Exhibition
Hi everyone!
Just to say that this blog has lay dormant for a while, but in that time, I have been busy creating more paintings. I like to think of myself as a surrealist artist. I seek to explore the unconscious mind, resulting in vivid, colourful and thought provoking imagery.
I hope to add many more of my recent paintings soon. In the meantime, please feel free to leave your views and comments as I would love to know what you all think.
I am a self-taught artist - a hobby I took up in my early 40's, Now in my 75th year, I am still enjoying my art even more. My hobby has created sales and exhibitions of my work and looking back on this blog, you can see my very early work and how my style has changed over the years.
I absolutely love colour and the freedom of creating paintings from my imagination.
Please share this blog and your thoughts...

Exhibition To Celebrate My 70th Year - September 2015
| Suzanne |
This Exhibition shown at Macclesfield Library on the 21st September 2015 for two weeks highlights a small selection my many paintings. Part of my childhood was spent on a farm close to the foothills of Wicklow Mountain in southern Ireland. I believe it is there that the basis of my painting style was inspired. My zest for life has remained with me, colour for me is of the utmost importance. Gouache is the medium that suits my expressive nature best. The paintings are intended to make the observer smile, my past is of no importance to me... it's the here and now that counts. It seems that you have to reach a certain stage in life before you have a cleared space. Well my time is right now, it's what happens in my future that's most important, so through my own choice my life will begin at 70.
Here I am getting things started Monday morning...
No rest for the wicked...
